The Vibe
The Person Behind the Pint
Raised in California and exported to Germany at forty nine with two suitcases and an extravagant love for his beautiful German wife Frau Rottweiler— Klaus Ridgeback spent a decade exploring the world before deciding that Lage needed a bar that felt like home.
Not his German home. Not his Los Angeles home. Something that was genuinely, stubbornly both.
"Denglisch is that mix you fall into when you've lived between two languages long enough. You stop choosing. You just speak." The bar is built on the same philosophy — take the best of each world, put it in a glass, and don't apologise for the accent.
"Good beer doesn't need a passport. But it tastes better when it has a story." — Klaus Ridgeback, Founder
